THE 17th EDERED YOUTH ENCOUNTER

This year’s Encounter took place between 14th and 24th August 2025 in Bressanone/Brixen (South Tyrol,Italy).

The theme of this encounter was “AIN’T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH – REACHING THE SUMMIT’.

Young people aged 12 to 16, theatre enthusiastic peers from all over Europe, worked together and they learned techniques and met new people.

THE 16^th EDERED YOUTH ENCOUNTER

took place from 8th to 18th July 2024 in Ghent (Belgium).

The theme of this encounter was ‘LOUDER TOGETHER!’.

Young people aged 18 to 26, worked towards a final performance during various workshops.

They were learning techniques, met new people and got to know a fantastic city through fun activities!

THE 14^TH EDERED YOUTH ENCOUNTER
HELD FROM 25TH JULY TO 2TH AUGUST 2021 IN OSIJEK (CROATIA), BRUSSELS (BELGIUM), TURGI (SWITZERLAND) AND THESSALONIKI (GREECE).

THE THEME OF THE ENCOUNTER WAS “URBAN JUNGLE”.

 The 13^th EDERED Youth Encounter took place from 5th to 11th August 2019 in Course Center Högsand, Hanko, Finland. 

The theme of the Encounter was be “IT’S MY NATURE“.

Finland hosted EDERED in 2019. Eleven countries from all around Europe were invited to participate and develop the Theme “IT’S MY NATURE”. Participants aged 15-17 and their workshop leaders worked together covering topics of Environmentalism and Nature’s role in everyday life. Let’s take care of our Nature! We really need our Seas, Forrests, Mountains, Animals and everything from Mother Earth. Let’s take care of ourselves as well. It’s My Nature, it’s Your Nature! Participating countries were Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Israel, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey and UK.

The 13^th EDERED Youth Encounter took place from 11^th to 22^nd of July 2018 in “Lycée Saliège” – Toulouse, France. 

The theme of the Encounter was “GREAT EXPLORERS“.

The 12^th EDERED Youth Encounter took place between 19^th  – 30^th July 2017 in Aalborg, Denmark.

The theme of the Encounter was  “TIVOLI“.

between 8^th – 14^th August 2016 in Joachimsthal, Germany.

 The theme of the Encounter was “Fluid Boundaries“.

The 9th EDERED Youth Encounter took place from the 29th July to the 8th August 2013 at The Royal Hospital School, Holbrook, near Ipswich,  United Kingdom. The theme of the Encounter was “Tribes”.

The 15^th EDERED, was take place from the 6^th till the 20^th of July 2012 in YİBO (Seferihisar Boarding School)  in Seferihisar / Turkey.

The theme of the encounter was ‘SLOWNESS.

Organisator was Çağdaş Drama Derneği (CDD) – Association for Contemporary Drama.

The 14^th EDERED, took place from the 10^th till the 24^th of July 2011 in Youth Camp Hoge Rielen in Kasterlee, Belgium (45 km away from of Antwerp). Organisator was OPENDOEK, Belgium amateur theatre association.

The theme of the encounter was  “Kaleidoscope” (diversity).
Groups from 14 country (8 participants from 12 till 14 years old) were on a
‘somewhere over the rainbow’ adventure.

13th EUROPEAN CHILDREN THEATRE ENCOUNTER, 1th – 14th July 2009,

Theme: “Play without limits”

The Theatre Union of the Russian Federation and Russian Centre of AITA announced the 13th European Children Theatre Encounter to be held in Russia. Groups from 16 European countries were invited to participate in the Encounter.T-shirt logo:

Organisators were TIRENA and Croatian Center for Drama Education.
